Interra Terms of Use

Last updated: August 9, 2026 · Applies to the Interra website and mobile apps

Welcome to Interra. By using the Interra website or mobile apps ("Interra"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Interra.

What Interra is

Interra is a news-discovery app. It aggregates publicly available news headlines from publishers' own RSS/Atom feeds and public news sources, and presents them on an interactive globe alongside public data (e.g. USGS earthquakes, GDACS disaster alerts, weather). Interra shows headlines, short summaries, source names, and links — it does not reproduce full articles. Tapping a story opens the original article on the publisher's own website, where their terms apply.

News content & intellectual property

Content removal & copyright (takedown)

Interra respects the rights of content owners. If you are a publisher or rights-holder and would like your feed, a headline, or an image removed — or believe content on Interra infringes your copyright — email interranews@gmail.com with the source, the specific item, and (for copyright claims) a statement of your rights. We will review and act on valid requests promptly, typically by removing the identified content or excluding the source.

Accuracy & "as is"

News is aggregated automatically from third parties. Interra does not write, verify, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any headline, summary, image, or data point, and is not responsible for third-party content or the websites it links to. Interra is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse Interra: don't attempt to disrupt or overload the service, scrape it at scale, reverse-engineer it, or use it to break the law or infringe others' rights.

Accounts

Interra works without an account. The countries and topics you follow are stored only on your device. See our Privacy Policy for how your data is handled.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Interra and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Interra or reliance on any content within it.

Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected here with a new date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
